That does help and confirms what I thought. I'd guess that much of the guts of the 8080 is the same as the 7070, apart from that lense! I ended up buying mid-range speed CF (20x). Don't think the speed of write is a problem as it is far faster than the strobe takes to recharge. That link says faster cards are a waste of money. Maybe, but I bought a cheap USB2 CF reader for £2 in order to save battery power during those long downloads, so then quicker download is an advantage.
