Rushing!

You know the little black string that keeps the black thing that goes round the screen from getting lost when it falls off? Well that was trapped in the o ring and i didnt notice it when i shut the back. First thing I knew I was at 15 m with Josie and spotting some things I wanted to photograph and noticed housing nearly full with water.

Repeat... no body got hurt... It's only a camera....

No ot's Still not working!

A few weeks back they had 5050s on Ebay going for about 200 quid. I am tempted to replace like with like since I know how to use it and it took me long enough to learn. I would get a new housing anyhow since that one is all horrid inside now and I have dropped it and bashed it afew times .

My only consolation is that I have had my moneys worth in pleasure and entertainment out of that camera and at least it wasn't brand new. It has been used and abused and still did a great job. If I had been more careful with it I probably wouldnt have taken it on so many dives.

I feel totally bereft, In Tenerife I didnt take it on one dive (because I lent it to Matt) and Mikey said I looked lost and not my usual self.

Anyone got any ideas about suitable replacements?
