A few photos from a trip to St Abbs Marine reserve in Scotland on the 8th May.

The sea life is starting to blossom due to the rising spring temperatures. Lots of sea slugs spawning and young fish to be found. Photographic conditions where not fantastic with less than ideal vis bit it was nice to get out shooting pics.

The photographs where taken with my Oly C7070 in macro and supa macro mode. A 10+ dioptre was fitted. Lighting was twin fantasea 44 LED vid lights.
I was diving the gulley leading up to what we call the trainer pool looking for spawning lump sucker fish when I spotted these young Top Knot flatfish (ID 90%). They where sized about 2 centimetres long.

The Mr Bloby Sea Slug (8mm)Limacia clavigera and the hombourgi (40mm)
Tritonia hombergiislug were found on the walls of the pool eating DMF. There were also loads of slug egg spools.





ID on small fish to the left of the slug?



The second dive of the day was to Nest End Reef. Found a slug I haven’t seen before. I will try to find a positive I D for it but think it may be Aeolidiella glauca.



Also kept finding big 10 cm egg spool balls all over St Abbs. Post some pics later.
