 I've added a new feature to the site frontpage which randomly shows a selection of photos. I will selecting photos from the Gallery every now and again to add to the front page selection. There are no hard and fast rules to this, basically any photo that I see that I like I will select for showing off. The only restrictions are that the photos are in Landscape format and that there are no copyright or other messages on the image. Credit will, of course, be given to the user that has posted the image in the image title bar - I will also use the photo title or ask you for one if one does not exist (I'd rather not use DSC_xxx.jpg). The examples I've chosen are simply a few of mine to get the idea across. Also, the width of the frontpage has been changed to make it looks good with the photo. Hope you like this idea. Tim

Nice idea Tim especially as this is what the site is all about....and a good pic to start......i meant the nautilus one!

Thanks Jane. TBH, the idea and a few others have been 'stolen with pride' from another photo site - although not an UW one. Accordingly I'm indebted to the owner of that site as he is an impressively creative follow.
I am trying to find a way to get photos from the Gallery across other parts of the site - more on these as I manage to do them.

As mentioned above, I've been adding photos to the font page random display as I see them in the gallery. Anything I'm impressed with gets to go in.
Please, if you see anything that you think should be on the front page then just let me know. Just remember these points: 1. The photo should be in Landscape or it will through out the format of the front page 2. No text on the photo as this detracts - recognition of the photographer will be given in the title page 3. The photo must really 'show off' diving in Temperate water. Regarding the last point - A couple of my photos do not meet the last criteria but were placed to show the purpose of the feature. Once we have more random photos then I'll delete some of mine.
