I'd be chuffed to bits with those! The dugong pictures are particularly good and I like the close-up of the puffer fish. Very nice.

Thumbs up

Some really lovely pictures you should be very pleased - where were the first two taken?

Fantastic pictures. I'd appreciate any advice you can give on the settings etc that you used to get these shots, as I've just bought an olympus 5050. Did you use a filter? The water is so blue!

First two were taken in Abu Dabab - laying in the shallows (about 4-5 m's) watching the turtles and the dugong going about their business - until about 30 snorklers came along, and bang went the turtles followed by the dugong..

Great place, would love to go back there.... Dennis is the name of the dugong by the way..

Well that is easily done.. because all are taken on auto as the F-stop and apeture thing is Chinese to me at the mo... and do not ask me to white balance at depth.. the fish are long gone by the time that is done.. but I am practicing.. so auto setting, on underwater setting in the menu and that is it really..

I am just using my 5060 in its housing, no strobe, all I have added is a KOOD Blue water correction filter (which incidentially is red) which costs just £20 from Luton Cameras.. if you are in shallow water remove the filter (which screws onto the housing so you have full control) because there is enough of red in the water already to compensate...
