Wanted SLR setup

Hi all just shooting in the dark really,

I am wanting to upgrade my setup, what i really want is a SLR set up but will have to wait about 50 years to buy one new. Any compact upgrade would just take cash away from the pot for the SLR.

Was wondering if anyone had the makings of a SLR set up that they are selling, I was looking for canon but it appears most photog divrs i know use Nikon so that may be a better option.

I do have a sea and sea strobe though so it would need to be compatible with that

I suggest you take a look at GLOC's recent post about his DSLR setup he's selling.
Rob

PS failing that, Wetpixel has a lot of full setups for sale

Keep an eye on ebay too. I have picked up the vast majority of all of my camera gear from there and saved a lot of money at the same time. I wouldn't worry much about buying older camera models either. I went for a Canon 20D and am very happy with it. By buying older you will find the cost of buying second bodies much less painful. A couple of examples below.

You can if they're duo strobes with the detachable cable. Ikelite sell a Sea & Sea to Ikelite cable. You can't use a Sea & Sea strobe with a Nikonos or Sea & Sea cable. You don't get TTL with Sea & Sea strobes and Ikelite housings.
