Hisspiana.

Below are a couple of pic of 2 little bits of the Hisspania.

The good news is that she is covered from bow to stern in more of the same and still looks like a ship

Also comes with such extras as fish and conga.

Well worth a visit

Cheers.

Paul.

Hisspiana.

That thing looks absolutely covered in life. This is the one up in Mull?

Do you have any more info, depths etc?

How does it compare something like the JEL?

Hisspiana.

It's a lovely wreck, the Hispania. Over a year since I last dived it but I remember it being pretty much still in one piece and absolutely covered in life. Plenty of fish about.

Certainly as much to look at as JEL but without the same deterioration in the fabric of the wreck.

Really is time you gave it a go Tim.

Hisspiana.

Yep she is the one up in Mul.

Max depth around 30m at the stern Average depth 18 to 24 ish.

Slack water essential as she sits right in the tide!!

Cheers.

One of my favourite Dives..

Tim, you really should do the Sound of Mull if you havent been there, it's always divable.

How do es the Hispania and JEL compare? Both are lovely dives but the Hispania is still very ship-shaped. From what I saw of the JEL when i dived it it was pretty broken up (but viz was only about 1.5 metres so maybe I just didnt see enough of it!)

Both encrusted with life.. The Hispania is great to photograph on a sunny day as it looks great with the sun behind the wreck.

As some one said before you can only do the Hispania at slack as it runs like a train the rest of the time, quite fun for your safety stop...
