I was wondering whether there was need to discuss video here? I'm not talking full underwater video, but the little videos that you can take on housed compacts. I've taken a couple that haven't been too bad, just wondered if we can share our advice here.

I have taken some movie clips on my 5050 but am struggling with what software to use to edit it. The file that is produced is a quicktime mov file but it seems most editors, ie Pinnacle etc use avi.
Any suggestions. Mark

I use a program called Pure Motion. I bought it a few years back for my digital camcorder - which I have no intension of taking underwater. There are some freeware utilities that will convert mov to avi (one called mov2avi), but the avi is ropey compared with the mov. I'll have a search.
Got a feeling this is another one of those "Olympus goes with wrong technology" things. Rob
