Feeling chuffed
What a difference a year makes. I started the year taking my camera in when I felt like it, to now I wont leave home without it.
As I totally wimped out of entering the Splash-in when I dived St Abbs, I entered the best 3 photos into the BSAC Travel Club Photo Comp. Well I won Newcomer for September: http://www.bsactravelclub.co.uk/phot...905gallery.htm Fair to say I'm well chuffed as I've never really won anything before. It's not the most prestigious of competitions, but its a start. So I encourage you all to enter competitions, you never know you might just surprise yourself. My shot IMHO is the worst of the 3 I entered and I think I messed the lighting up, so I'm learning about what a judge is looking for. Rob

And I can identify with your 'I started the year taking my camera in when I felt like it, to now I wont leave home without it' comment. I was asked recently how cumbersome and awkward my camera rig feels underwater, and I had to say I don't know, I never dive without it! |

Now Tim, there's a question,
The site talks about a book and a certificate, but if a mate hadn't seen it, I wouldn't even know I won - not heard a thing. The recognition is enough for me. I'm still chuffed, but my efforts in Stoney Cove last Wednesday brought me down to earth. Should have gone to Plymouth, but we were blown out. Green diving, don't you just love it!!!! Rob

Feeling chuffed
well I was supposed to be going to the farnes yesterday but got cancelled due to weather. Ended up going to the dive show instead. Some fab pictures on dispaly there
