UW Photographers get together

Hello.
I've been arranging an UW photographers get together on Conger Alley and Finstrokes Rebreather and Tech Scuba website

The intention is just to get a bunch of amateur UW happy snappers together for a couple of dives to compare notes on UW photography, kit and technique without worrying about your buddy hanging about hating you more with each breath as you take the 15th photo of the same bit of kelp. Don't expect any lectures from leading lights of the world of UW photography. If we can rustle up a few laptops we can share tips on the finer points of photoshop in the pub afterwards and generally critique our photos.

I was thinking of a couple of days with different themes. "Shallow and light" and "Deep and dark". Also spreading them across East and West coasts to keep it fair. (Being congerally it is intended to be Scottish coasts )

"Shallow and light" seems to be the obvious place to start off and St Abbs couldn't be a better location.

We had a poll and Sun 7th Oct won. We're thinking of meeting at about 10am. If anyone else fancies joining us you are more than welcome.

Hello.
Just a reminder that there is going to be a few of us getting together on Sunday at St Abbs (weather dependant).

Plan is to meet between 9-10am, have a chat about taking pics UW, head in for a longish dive. Critique the mornings pics over lunch. Head back in for a 2nd dive then off to the Anchor Inn for a review of the day and a play on Photoshop.

All in all a general information sharing day.

PM me with your mobile number if you are planning on comming so I can give you a bell if there are any last minute changes.

I'd really like to come up for this as well but it's more than a 5 hour drive for me now that I'm in Leicestershire. Not too bad if it's a few days but a little far for a day's diving.

I hope it goes well and the weather is good.

Maybe we should do the same for the southerners on board and do something off the UK southcoast for this weekend - I know I can make it.

I won't hijack this thread for that tho.

Tim
