Absolutely great. If I had 10 minutes of video even as sharp and lovely and colourful as yours, I'd be delighted I suspect - let alone the pikeys! Amazed by how steady the film is. Very nice.

(What's it filmed on? I saw two Amphibico housings, so a PDX10 is favourite at the start - is it HD towards the end? How much "tweaking" has been done to it? Manual white balance I presume...? OK, trade secrets, yeah?!)

Best wishes

David and Steve thanks for the comments..

All was shot on a A1 HDV cam... the Blue housing was for the TRV950 but used as a prop... there wasn't much CC in post as it was only filmed in 6M of water.. manual W/B through a filter...

Dean, thanks - I did suspect an A1, the housing wasn't big enough for anything much meatier. The quality on TV was lovely, as good as any UW filming I've seen except the absolute BBC specialists with fancy kit. Yeah, the old manual WB wins through yet again - it was the biggest step forward in quality with my PDX10.

Again, congrats - some VERY nice shooting.

Dean,
I watched it last night and really enjoyed it. I've even posted the BBC link to a few buddies that I think would enjoy it too.
When it started I thought it had the makings of something a bit cheesy but after a while I thought it was actually very well put together.
A shame it was so short. I think it should of had mass appeal.
Your passion for getting out there and doing what you enjoy really came across. The other thing that struck me was how much it endorsed Stoney as a good photo location.
It was also great to see such commitment to a bit of UK wildlife.
Well done, Trev

Dean
I'd like to echo everything Trevor has said. I'm sure you were worried as you had no editorial control of the whole thing. I was involved in a TV programme on BBC3 in 2007 and I saw first hand how clever directors can be to paint quite a (different) story. I thought your enthusiasm came across brilliantly. I'm sure there are thousands of people that have dived in Stoney and slagged the place off because they are too obsessed with getting deep and miss all that. Very well done.

Apart from a few seconds of coverage on BBC last year, my other TV appearance was a full blown interview on the news. Watching myself was awful, not least as it was Kosovan News and I had been dubbed into Albanian!!

Oops - yeah, Dean, Rob, others - I was forgetting my manners and debating tech issues I'm afraid. I second others' views (here and on YD) that your enthusiasm for what you were doing (and actually, your laid back approach in interviews), came across at least as well as the splendid pictures. Like others I was itching to find a puddle - quick!!
