Replacement LCD for c5050?

Hi All,

I broke the LCD on my c5050 earlier this year but it hasn't bothered me until now as I've had to to return my D70 to Nikon for Repair.

The camera is in perfect workng order except for the LCD so I'm thinking that I can replace it myself providing I can get a spare part or a another broken c5050 from which I can take the screen.

Anybody have any ideas on sourcing the screen or have a broken c5050 that they want to be rid of? Is the same screen used in other digital cameras? If so then I can see if I can find a broken one and strip that.

Tim

Replacement LCD for c5050?

RS Components might be a source for a screen.

There main trade counter is in Corby.

Cheers,

Have you got a picture of what the screen looks like, or a part number? Reason I ask is I have a C4000. If the screen bit is the same you could use that.

Thanks Guys, I'll have a look at the RS website.

Rob, I'll open up the screen and see if I can find a no.
