Fuji F10 Ikelite housing
I have at last got my Ikelite housing for my Fuji F10, I have also got the 67mm adaptor so I can try out the WA lens I got off Tim. The housing is to Ikelite's usual standards (60m rated), thick polycarb, camera sits well inside, typical Ikelite I have to buy a tray to fit it, they don't use 1/4" whitworth thread like the rest of the world. I have a large selection of nut and bolts I will try first though, I am not beaten yet.
I may try it out tomorrow evening on the wreck of the Rinovia (58m) to see what sort of results I can get. The only problem is there will be no ambient light, 58m and late evening (8pm)! So it may be macro only after all, but I will take it and play with my torch to add some light to see if I can get something worth shouting about. |

Re: Fuji F10 Ikelite housing
Ok, my existing Ultralight arm will fit, all I need is 2 screws to fix it to the tray. They look like a 7/32" UNC thread, (machine screw thread), I need a couple of short ones, S/S or anodised alloy. I have 3/16" (same thread) and 1/4" and it is between those two.
Anyone know where I can get these? Got a couple lying around? I will try my local fixing company, but I'm not sure whether they will have such a rare/strange size. I think they went for the 7/32" so you can't re-tap it to 1/4" whitworth, there's not enough metal to do it successfully. Thanks Mark |

Re: Fuji F10 Ikelite housing
Hi Mark, have you tried ocean optics?
