Oly pt-027 - broken ttl bulkhead fitting

Has anyone ever broken off the cap from the ttl flash connection on either the PT-20 or PT=027 and if so did they/how did they resolve the problem.
Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated.

For the record now probably solved with suitably large, stubby s/s nut/bolt & O-ring.............
