A penny for your thoughts...
You will have seen these images before but it would be helpful if I could have your thoughts. These are my best shots from the Splash In weekend. As the Photosub Splash In was less than successful (viz was so bad no-one entered any shots), it was decided that any shots taken on the BSoUP weekend could be entered providing that they did not win any other prize. I am not sure whether we can enter 2 or 3 pictures.
Can I have a show of opinion from a third party perspective as to which shots work and which don't. Ideal in form of the best, second best and third. Suggestion for crops or adjustment appreciated. As you will see, I spent most of my time on wrasse. Daniel ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by DDT uk; 27-07-2008 at 13:22. |

I like the jewel anemones and think you should enter that rather than compete with yourself with two wrasse shots. I Think the last shot of the wrasse from above is the weakest. After that I'm not sure which I prefer most between the fourth shot which is a nice head shot or the sixth where the wrasse is peeping out from behind the kelp.

Mmm, I also like the jewels - although may benefit form a little more contrast? Maybe darkedn teh shadows slightly?
I like wrasse shots 1,3,4 and 5 but 4 is slightly out of focus(?) so that's a goner. I think 5 shows a little more personality from the fish so that would be my preference. Wrasse no 1 would then the third choice. Hope that helps Daniel and good luck!

I like first and third Wrasse, preferring third wrasse (can you mirror it? the old friendly from left, evil from right thing). As Ken says, don't compete with yourself, enter 1 wrasse and the Jewels.

I like the second and third wrasse shots, mainly because they either have character or you can identify it more as a fish - the other don't have enough "body" in for me personally.
I love the jewel anenome too - lovely colour
