Farnes RIB charter
Went out at the weekend with Graham on Moby, launching ex Beadnell. Very quick trip out to the islands and excellent service in and out of the water.
There were 8 divers aboard, but enough room for kitting/dekitting, and plenty of hands to pull weight and kit back in after a dive. I told Graham what sort of dives I wanted - basically shallow and with plenty of marine life this time - and he put me on a couple of excellent places. Before entering the water he gave a brief, and the sites both exactly matched what I'd been told. He was willing to drop different members of the group different places so everyone got the dive they wanted, though this is obviousely going to depend on the day and group you go with. Moby has a small cabin if you need shelter. Don't think I'd choose to take a laptop out and download/change batteries between dives, but if it was necessary it could be done. All in all, I was impressed enough to go back and dive with Graham again. |

Farnes RIB charter
Goes out for two dives, then back in - but, and this is the bit that got my attention to start with - he goes out early (Depending on tides), drops all the divers at one time, recovers, changes cylinders, gives you a bit of time for a surface interval and a cup of tea or soup - supplied - then a second dive and back to Beadnell by lunchtime.
First time I saw him I was diving with my club. By the time we'd gone out to the islands, decided where to dive, got everbody in and out and made it back to to Beadnell Graham's lot had done two dives and were sat around eating burgers prior to going home. |
