Wink Camera stabililisisining wings...

Just wondered who's used/using/never used stabilising wings on their video rigs? If you haven't yet got to try 'em try to try 'em ( ) 'cos the difference they make to 'tracking' shots is quite amazing. Even static shots benefit as they make it more difficult to 'tilt' the rig over. They're not much good inside wrecks though as they bump into everything. I have just made a new pair from 'smoked' Perspex as my old plastic ones snapped from the constant heat of SE Asia. If you want a pair I could probably knock them up for £599.99 (batteries not inc) That was a joke but if anyone would like the details of how to make or fit them I'd be only too happy to ablige.

There's usually a bit too much current or surge for me to use wings, I have to grab hols of something solid, ooh how the fish huggers frown at me.
