Nice one, but I have a question. What camera? Exif says no flash, auto white balance, but the image has vibrant reds. Are you using a filter or just a lot of playing in PS?

Its a Canon 300D. I use 2 external Inon z220 strobes. The strobes fire but whatever way the ikelite sync cord is wired, it doesnt register them firing in the exif information on the camera. This is common. No filters on camera.
I shot the picture in RAW format and in photoshop there is a whole dialoge box for raw pictures when its loaded in. Lots of settings to tweak, great fun indeed

That makes sense, just wondered if you knew some magic way of getting decent reds at depth in ambient light.

Out of interest, how long does the Canon take to write a RAW file? My new Olympus 7070 seems to take ages and I spent extra money on a fast Compact Flash card.

No magic involved

I just did a few speed tests with writing speed. 7 seconds was the write time. from pressing the shutter to the writing light stopped.
