a few more from Babbacombe

A very nice weekend again with balzing sun but unfortunately loads more plankton.

Plus side was that we managed to spot a pair of mating Cuttlefish which was a real surprise.

Tim,
I like the composition of the anemone shot, I'll have to rip that idea off! I'm guessing 105 here?

Interesting as the dives progressed I was seeing more and more of these crabs - I came across one rock festooned with Snakelocks and under most of them was a wee crab, unfortunately my port was fogged for the whole dive so didn't get any more shots.

I think for the whole weekend I was using the 105, so well spotted Rob.

As for the first shot, I was after one like this for the past two trips and I came across just one Anenome which had revealed it's underside like this - Just a shame that there was so much crap on it and the focus is not quite right. Still, keep trying until it's just right.

Tim

And there i was thinking, i had managed to get some nice detail in my cuttlefish images from the first babba trip.
And then looking at the one you posted just love the detail, and range of colours in the eye. stunning.

well done tim, That little crab was one hell of a find, any ideas on what he is?

simon.

But Simon, you have to remember I was using a top quality dedicated Macro lens to get that detail - I'd love to try again with a diopter attached to get even closer.

TBH, I have absolutely no idea what the crab is called - I'll have to dig around unless anybody else can help.

Tim
