Morning All

Hi all,

Finally managed to get the login sorted (thanks Tim) so here I am. I've been diving for about 12 years and have been doing some photography on an ad hoc basis for the last 6 or 7 years. However, a recent change in circumstances means I hope to be able to get a lot more diving in from now on and I'm looking forward to raising my game in the UW photgraphy stakes.

Currently I'm working with film only using a Nik 5 and a reasonable selection of lenses (with everyone going digital there are a lot of good bargains to be had on E-bay at the moment ). Don't think I'll be going digital underwater in the immediate future mainly due to expense and the large investment in film kit that I already have. I do, however, digitise my slides and play with them in Photoshop quite regularly so I'm sure there will be much to learn (indeed I already have) from everyone here - and hopefully I can throw in my 2p worth occasionally.

Based in Warrington, UK at the moment so most diving at weekends takes place in North Wales - condition can be challenging for the UW photographer at times! We do, however, get up to Scotland fairly regularly and I've had some good results there.

Speak to you all soon,

Iain

Hi Iain,

good to see we got those problems sorted. Good to have to you on board.

A few of us seem to be about the same stage in terms of getting more serious about the photography ie. diving in order to take photographs rather than just taking a camera along. I guess in that respect we all have a lot to learn as well as becoming much more self critical.

Be good to see some of your stuff.

Cheers,

Tim
