Howdy all

Hello there,

Quick hello and introduction,

May well know some of you from a while ago (old YD, etc,). Have been diving on and off for about five / six years give or take. Less recently since being put under house arrest by diving hating wife and kid........ sure lots of you can relate.

However up for parole soon due to constant winging and threats to taking up more dangerous sports..... so heres hoping to getting back wet soon.

Havent been massively into photography under water before, was move interested back then in techie diving but since getting landlocked have gotten heavily into camcorders and video editing so hope to be able to put that to use under water.... doesnt sound cheap though.....

Anyway better get back to getting rust off my dry suit!!!!

Take care all

Ben

Welcome to DG Ben. I bet your other half will probably be more amenable when she starts seeing some pretty pics.

Anyway welcome.

Hello Ben and welcome to the site.

Jules this is indeed 'wee' Ben although perhaps 'naughty' Ben would be closer to the mark.

Tim

Welcome to the show ben....
So its either video or stills ?
Hmmm do you like to sit in front of a computer and cut your video productions or sit in front of your computer and edit your pictures ?
Personally having tried both (topside)...Pictures are much easier to handle and I can get on with my life....(god video takes so long to process!)

Hope you find what your looking for here

Naughty Ben!!! How very dare you!!

Hi Jules, tis I..

Personally love to sit and edit videos in front of the computer. Am a dab hand at it, struggle a bit with photoshop editing pics but im fine editing light sabres onto people!!!! Might just be me!!! Always prefered the extra little bit of flexibility video has over stills but saw a video tim sent me and I could be converted. Never shot video underwater. Would love to and would love to edit it but imagine it must be a nightmare with relation to lighting. Last time I looked you could get a basic video casing for about £500 but I hate to think what a good light rig would cost, even a diy one....

Tim what did you edit that wma you sent me in??
