Another Hello from Wales
Hi Everybody,
Live in Wales, have a long time interest in Photography in General and UW and cave photography in particular but never did anything about it. I find the world of digital photography even more confusing than the old analog. 15 months ago i persuaded SWMBO not to just buy the cheapest camera available to document our new addition to our family but to go for a very much reduced price F30. Esp as i very much object to using a flash on babies. I then managed to pick up a second hand housing from e-bay but after id arrived SWMBO changed her mind/ or according to her I misheard... I found she had got so attached to the little gem that I was no longer allowed to take it underwater...So a long patient wait for a reasonably priced F30 to come up on ebay followed. Limmited funds mean that it will probably be a while until i will be able to afford a strobe for the camera. I have been using the camera in the water ocaisionally since Feb. and have found limitations with it above the water on my recent (none diving due to cold) Holiday. This finally gave me the time to read the manual (which however raised more questions than it answered) as well as having a good play withthe camera. I shall post some snorkel shots once they have been photoshopped after reading some of the threads and tips i'm hoping to find here. So i have a bundle of mostly camera specific questions stored up. Other than that I think i will for now mostly hang about here in the hope of picking up some general usefull UW phoography hints. Stephan |

Hi Steph,
Welcome to Digigreen - feel free to ask any questions that come to you - even if you think that they maybe really daft. Hopefully you will learn a lot here. I bought my wife a Fuji F30 a few years ago but I've never taken it underwater despite some really serious temptations. It's a great little camera and IMO really doesn't show it's age. Tim
