Nexus Manual Focus Macro Port
I recently bought a manual focus macro port to house my growing range of macro lenses - something that I've been meaning to buy for some time but the retail price has always stopped me.
So at todays Stoney dive-in I had the chance to try this thing for the first time and I'm really pleased with it. In Autofocus mode the lenses have a real tendency to hunt around before getting a lock. This usually results in the lens racking all the way in an out as it sorts itself out - often the noise of this scares critters. Below is just one shot from today - getting this kind of portrait is much easier with manual focus and the eyes are bang on. As usual the viz today was dreadful - on some of the shots the fish actually have bits on their snouts where it has landed. This is one of the few where theit isn't to much backscatter. ![]()

Very nice photo, almost hard to believe that's Stoney Cove. I was hoping I could report on manual focussing of the Sigma 50mm in my Ike housing, but sadly an o-ring disintegrated in my regulator hose, so there was no second dive for me.
