Monthly Challange - November 06

So, with this year's diving season behind the majority of divers and with the coast out for those that live inland, it's back to the inland sites for the bulk of the diving. With that in mind it'd be a tad unfair to ask for cuttlefish or something equally marine in nature so for November a nice generic theme:

Shimmers, Ripples and Glimmers

Re: Monthly Challange - November 06

I've also posted this one in the Green Magic Thread but I think it can also sit here too.

I like the way the bubbles look in the sunbeams.

Next I'd like to get a close up of fish scales but if anybody else can get them then go ahead.

Tim

For purposes of easy comparison - the original.

I think Tim had the advantage of the better subject!

In Tim's I like the colour - the way the black suit merges with the background so that the spots of colour define the shape of the diver.

Didn't half get a stiff neck staring up at that light for ages, though!

Re: Monthly Challange - November 06

Taken the other week at Capernwray of my buddy doing a giant stride entry off the end of the jetty.
In hindsight it would have been better taken in portrait, but when I asked if he would jump in again I got told to...off! Tsssk!

Cheers,

Paul

This one's taken in a warm, but nonetheless green, water lake in Indonesia

Hello chaps, it's been a while.

After much faffing around with twins, stages and umbilical torches I finally added the camera to my rig on Saturday in the vain hope I'd get some pictures. And instead of the usual inane rubbish that I produce - I went with a purpose and that purpose being Shimmers, ripples and glimmers.

They're probably crap, but I enjoyed taking them.

I think the bubbles are a bit intrusive but it helps make the shot fit the challenge.

A trout with glimmery ripples behind. Does this qualify for the challenge?

My effort. No technique, no filters, no gizmos. Just get in the water, point up and click!

(Okay, I did set the camera to 'wide angle'!)
