I take it that Kath is OK with the Wednesday?

It appears that we are 7 from Wednesday to Friday and 9 from Saturday to Saturday (still more space if anyone else fancied it). I've emailed the owner to get a firm price for the extra days. As soon as the price is confirmed I will book it.

Maria Grima, the owner, appears to favour brevity in her answers and so sometimes it is like pulling teeth. She has now given us a price (€198 per night) for the extra nights and I have asked to make the booking. I am still awaiting her reply. She has said that nights are free and so it is a relatively safe bet to book the flights but until I get confirmation you may want to wait a little bit.

Our flight will land in Malta at 10.40 local time on the 1st.

Maria and I will be flying with Sleazyjet. Air Malta is comparible in price but has a limit on hand luggage which Sleazy do not.

I know that you don't like Gatwick but you and Sarah would be more than happy to stay over if you fancied the trip.

If I book the cars through the dive centre (on Gozo) there is a fairly steep car to delivery the cars to the airport. ScubaSue suggested getting transfers by cab. What i may do is book a car with operates on Malta direct and collect from the airport. If we are all landing about the same time then we will hang around and drive everyone over.

For those arriving Saturday it could be a good idea to couple picking them up with some dives on the Rozi or whatever the wreck is near the ferry terminal.

I suspect we can fly from Manchester or Liverpool but if not we may well be down to the dreaded Gatwick.

The Manchester [Sleazy] flight appears to get in at 12:00 which is all very similar.

Ms Grima has now confirmed that, for the price of €2064, we have the villa booked from 1 Sept to 11 Sept. This works out at €247 (c£224) for the early birds and €163 (c£14 for the others.
