Basking Shark Trip

There are spaces available on a trip to Porthkerris (UK) on Thursday 10th July. The aim is to spend 6 hours at sea and find and photo basking shark. So far there are 2 confirmed and 1 maybe on the trip. We need a minimum of 4 with an absolute maximum of 6 (we want the time in the water!!). The charter is £600 and will be shared amongst everyone, so price is dependent on numbers. This is the Thursday before the Plymouth Splash-in. No diving, just snorkelling.

If interested let me know,
Rob

There wasn't enough interest in this trip, so I'm doing it this week instead.

If it's successful then maybe we should make it a Digigreen trip next year? It will most likely have to be midweek and everyone has to accept that in this game there is no such thing as a guarantee! On this trip this time we have 5 people obsessed with getting results, so it's going to be the full 6 hours! No matter what though we'll try and enjoy it

Hope you get some great photo's Rob - I'll really jealous if you do but it'll be good fun I'm sure.

I'm all up for an organised trip assuming that I'm in the country. Any other takers?

Maria and I would be up for this. Would you be looking at 1 day for the basking sharks and a couple of more conventional days or a couple of days of sharks?

Exclamation

I got a call yesterday evening saying the trip had been cancelled by the skipper; a decision I greatly respect as after all the skipper has just turned down money! Shark activity isn't great at the moment, so the skipper suggested postponing the trip.

So we now aim for July 24th. From the 5 who were going, only 3 can make this date, so we need at least one more. Anyone interested please let me know.

I may have to put this on YD. The three going are all a bit obsessed with getting results and it will be a long day with absolutely no guarantees.

I'll be there a few days earlier...

Guys (might as well start making a contribution as I'm now playing with big boys toys!!!),

I'll be in Porthkerris from the 17th for 4/5 days with the first official outing of my new kit... if the sharks are out, will give an update...

right... off to the gym know to work on those arm muscles... damn that kit is heavy!!!
