Ayone in Essex/London?

Hi,
I live in Hornchurch, Essex.
My regular buddy has had to give up diving due to ill health , soI am looking for a regular buddy who is also into photography/videography. The usual problem for us as photographers is that non photgs dont like hanging around while we spend half a dive trying to get that one shot!
Alternatively does anyone have any experience of dive clubs with a few photographers as members?
Obviously willing to travel.
Thanks in advance.
Gary

I am yet to find a club that is suitable for photographers. If you do find one then let us know. There are a couple of uw photographic groups, such as the East Midlands that meet at Stoney and Photosub that meet in Guildford. Whilst none of them are really dive clubs they are good for getting to know people to dive with. Photosub, of whom I am member, do run a number of trips as well as arrange boats for the BSoUP and St Abbs events. Members also arrange overseas trips purely for photographers.

There should really be enough of us on here to organise outings if someone is prepared to take the lead. Maria and I are normally up for a dive, particularly somewhere like Selsey or Swanage which are a reasonable day trip. If you are looking for a buddy on a particular day then let me know.

Gary,

I'm one of the main organisers of a club in Kingston, Surrey. Like Daniel, we're off to the south coast regularly, but at the moment, I'm the only real photographer in the group, so it would be nice to be able to have another who doesn't mind looking at the same spot for 5/10 mins!!!

Daniel - let me know when the next Photosub meet up is as it's just down the A3 for me and I'll try to get along...

Have a look at www.photosub.co.uk. It has details on their. Because the club meet at peoples homes it is best to let someone know that you'll be coming along. Either Len Deeley or Jane Morgan would be best. The next meeting is on the 8th November.

Thanks to both of you for the replies. As soon as I get my tanks/regs back from certification & servicing I will be up for a dive. I dont mind travelling to the south coast, or anywhere really, so you will definitely be hearing from me soon.
Thanks again,
Gary.
