Jane I was about to email Ocean Optics because I have to drop out of this - would you rather I didn't and take my place?

The Open Day was worth going. I got there a bit late (missed one train, next was delayed, then the Circle Line was shut and I don't know London that well).
I went specifically for the section on composition, as I find this something that makes sense when someone talks you through it, but not so much sense in a book. I found that very useful. His bits on wide angle were also good. The other thing I did get from the day is I would now consider doing his live aboard. He gets the message across well and seemed very approachable. Off to a meeting now ,Rob

The afternoon talk on composition was the same one, I think, that he gave to BSoUP a couple of months back. I think you may have been there for that.
The morning talk on WA was very good. As Rob said, very clear and well presented. The talk by his wife was non-technical. It was a humourous speech of all the things she has done wrong. Enjoyable. |
