Open Day with Martin Edge

For those of you that don't receive news from Ocean Optics, this might catch your eye:

Martin Edge Underwater Photography Open Day - April 26th

Martin Edge, one of the world's most respected underwater photography educators, is hosting a special open day with underwater photography equipment specialists Ocean Optics - Mavericks Diving. Martin will focus on explaining his personal thought processes - his " Think and Consider" approach - that helps Martin and his students make superlative images. Over several presentations he will explore the pre planning that can lift a good shot into a jawdropping photograph. Martin has invited two additional presenters, both highly successful Edge students, to enhance the event. Simon Brown is a leading underwater journalist who will explain how to make money from underwater photography. John Wallis, also an underwater photo journalist, will look at what land photography has to teach underwater photographers. Martin's personal appearances are rare and pre booking is urged to avoid disappointment, as places are limited. Reservations can be made through Ocean Optics - Mavericks Diving. The event will be held at Action Underwater Studios in Basildon, Essex, the new home to Ocean Optics - Mavericks Diving.

The cost of attending the day is £25.00, to be paid when booking and is non refundable.

I'm signed up, so who else is interested?
Rob

I'd love to do this but unfortunately will be back in the US.

It should be a good session.

Popping over the pond next year for a Scapa trip is one thing, but for a lecture is another. Luckily we have some talented folks here as well. End of march, I am going to a lecture of Willem Kolvoort (famous in the Netherlands for his fresh water photography). A few years ago he was allowed to dive (snorkel) in the nature reserve Naardermeer, resulting in a great book with lots of shots of water lelies etc.

His technique is "different", no water is miniscule enough. His favourite dive site is his garden pond.

Tazzie,
Has their number changed now they've moved? Not sure when they re-opened or if they have re-opened yet. Drop them an email to say you're interested.

Thanks Rob, they have an Essex number on their website so presuming that's the new one. Have got a provisional place and have emailed to say I'm trying to pay - hopefully they'll come back as soon as they're sorted

Cool Martin Edge

Remember that Steve has the magical ability to ignore emails for about three weeks....

.... but O.O. has extracted the money from me, and I'm going.
