NZs Newest Wreck
November the 3rd saw the sinking of our newest wreck. The Canterbury, an ex naval frigate was sunk at Deep Water Cove in the Bay Of Islands. I have'nt had a chance to dive it yet but hopefully soon.

Looks very similar to the UK's Scylla, although I think Scylla has more of a helicopter hanger. I went to see the Canadian's sink it in Plymouth and it was awesome, but I was nowhere near as close as you are to that.

If all is as it should be it will sit in 33m, was supposed to be 29m. Its will be a neat location as there is a lot of great dive spots close by and the visability around there can get to 30m.

Nice photos. Really good vis, our own artificial reef (HMS Scylla) is never like that. Wont take long to collonise and I'm sure you'll get loads of really good shots over the years as it totally transforms!

Great pics both above and below water, didnt see the original post in nov so thanks 4 updating. Want to return to NZ one day to do some more diving so I'll add it to the list.
