I'd take at least 1 more card, more if you're not taking a laptop to download your shots. I buy my cards here they're cheap and reliable but delivery does take about a week. 7dayshop.com - Online Store they also have cheap compatible batteries and a spare camera battery would be well worth having.

I always used to have UV filters on my lenses but I don't bother anymore. I'n nearly 30 years of SLR photography I have never scratched a lens or filter so the protection idea doesn't really work for me. Digital cameras don't need the filter in the same way film did. I always shoot RAW so any hazing can be fixed in PhotoShop. If I was going to buy a filter for surface use it'd be a circular polarising filter. You'd need 62mm filter for the 70-300 and a 58mm filter for the 28-80. Alternatively buy the 62mm and step down rings or go for a system like Cokin which uses a filer holder with adapter rings to fit the lens.
