That is a bargain. If only I didn't already have a pair.......
Rob

PS amount of bargain strongly depends on serial numbers though

What do you mean?
I am sort of looking for one of these (I can't even consider buying two, especially at new prices)
Is there a problem with certain seriel numbers?

Jules,
Depends what you want the strobe for. There are certain serial numbers that are fully compatible with newer Ikelite housings TTL, like my D80, certain numbers that can be upgraded to work with the newer TTL and certain numbers that can't be upgraded at all. Of the two strobes I bought second hand, one had to be modified; which is extra expense. All strobes can be fired in manual AFAIK.

Just look at Jane's shots on YD and you can see how good the DS-125 is, especially when using Heinrich's converter with a 5050. This is the sort of strobe you can then use with a DSLR.

Rob

I think i need to pin you in the corner of the pub at stony on Tuesday and pick your brains about all this strobe malarky as I really don't know the first thing about it.
