Thanks Tim! - it really wouldn't have stood as a regular photo at all, so I had nothing to lose with playing about with it.

Great effects Annie. Very impressive. Me thinks you should be a graphic designer.

Wish I had the patience but most of all the creative ideas to produce such work.

Well done!

Cheers,

Paul

Yes, what he said. Very impressive results Ann. All the photoshop playing is really paying off for you.

Thanks guys! A lot of inspiration comes from looking at other peoples work. And I'm definitely not good enough to be a graphic designer. I have flashes of pure inspiration now and again, those guys need it ALL the time.

Please indulge in while I blow my own trumpet for a minute but I am thrilled to say that I entered a couple of online photo competitions (not underwater) and received 1st place for one of my manipulated images. No prizes involved but I was jumping round the house like a mad thing for about half an hour this morning!!!

The great thing is that I no longer see the time I spend learning about photoshop as a waste and I don't feel in the slightest bit guilty any more. My last lot of Red Sea pictures were a HUGE improvement on the ones I took in October. ( I've added some of them to my gallery) Given the limitations of my camera compared to all those DSLR's that are around I am looking forward to improving my composition and getting some even better ones in about 10 days time.

Hopefully all this warm water practice will make things much easier for me when I do finally get back into our wonderful green waters.

Hi Annie,

Congratulations on the competition win. Blow your trumpet all you like.

Which was the picture that won the day?

Tim
